[unpaid/sample] I think you will remember the beautiful La Montana candles inspired by the creators’ Spanish home in the mountains. The brand has come a long way since then – reed diffusers, room mists, gift vouchers and now fragrance. I’m starting with Divine Sunset which is the fragrance antidote to winter gloom.
It’s fresh, zingy and utterly joyful – as soon as I spritzed it I got a memory of Jo Malone Orange Blossom (my favourite JM fragrance) and yet this is similar but amplified. If you like zesty fragrances, this will be your perfume happy place.
Blending beautifully with the orange and orange blossom notes is lavender absolute and musk and they’re really beautiful together. There’s black pepper in there too but I swear my nose has a blind spot to black pepper because I can never pick it out. The dry down is interesting because it becomes a gentler version of the zing of the spritz – more skin-like and soft while keeping an orange focussed trail. The excellent news is that there is a 10ml handbag version for £22 that you might like to try first before committing to the £65 full size. If orange is a note you like I cannot see how you wouldn’t fall for La Montana Divine Sunset Eau de Parfum. You can find it HERE. I’m so looking forward to trying the other two fragrances.

I absolutely love La Montana products. I’ve already bought the small size of First Light fragrance and I look forward to trying the other two. I would love to see a version of Alfredo’s Cafe as a perfume!
I think I would too – it’s gorgeous!
I’d love to try some samples before I purchase anything as some perfumes smell different on different people.
yes, you’re right – I’m always happy when I see sample collections.
