[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I put off trying this product for a very long time because I didn’t like the shade names (I mean really, are we still calling deeper base shades ‘chocolat’?). I still feel that’s a very poor choice but I’ve looked on-line to see if there has been any push-back and can’t find any so here we are.
I know that one of the questions about this will be how does it compare to Chanel Water Tint and the answer to that is favourably. Erborian CC Water Fresh is a gel but it’s light in consistency and definitely feels fresh on the skin. Chanel Water Tint is less gel-textured and I think has a better complexion colour understanding but less glowiness.
As you can see the gel comes out clear and as you work it into the skin (I used a brush) the encapsulated capsules break and produce colour. I really liked this aspect of the product. The result is coverage that looks glowy and fresh (I’m shade Clair but in summer I would be Dore) and feels virtually undetectable on the skin.

You need to pay extra care to working it into your skin – I noticed some little white dots just under my eye and you can see them here in the goosebumpy swatch (sorry but it’s freezing!). That’s just a small learning from using this product for the first time and correct blending means it won’t be an issue. I think they’re just part of the capsules.
That’s really a good finish for me for such a light product. There’s no SPF in this so it will need to go over an SPF so there may be a compatibility issue but I haven’t tested for that. It’s £20.50 which I feel is good value. It’s HERE. NB: 15ml is £20.50 – the 30ml is £41.

I didn’t take to this as well as you. Sticking with their original CC which I always go back to. I have found that I’ve ditched the Clair or Dore and now use the Anti redness and/or brightening versions. I feel they suit my skin better. Thanks again for the great reviews (and Dora pics).
